Seattle Finishing was doing graduate work in life sciences when he took a summer job working for a firm that built wood interiors for private jets. There, he discovered that his passions lay in custom, high grade finish carpentry. Learning from his employers in the furniture business and yacht and jet interiors, he took advantage of his apprenticeship to cultivate his talents. Mike also took advantage of lessons learned at home. His Grandfather always encouraged him to take on challenging projects in life as a way to build experience and confidence. When he moved on, he assumed challenges that others didn't feel up to, further polishing his craft. Then, in 1989, he started Seattle Finishing, where he brought his artistry to Peninsula homes. Since then, he's created the face of some of the peninsula's finest and grandest homes.
